Ryan Cantville

I get to work with kids all day, which I truly believe is one of the best jobs in the world – especially because
I’m a big kid at heart. I take the time to ask questions, listen closely, and get to know each child as an
individual. Sometimes that means a hug, a high five for a great report card, reassurance during a difficult
moment, or simply creating a space where a child feels seen, understood, and safe.

It is just as important to me that parents feel heard and respected. Parents know their children best, and I
see them as essential partners in their child’s care. My goal is to support families from the first newborn
visit through adolescence, while helping children grow, overcome challenges, and thrive.

When my wife, Adriana, and I became parents, my perspective as a pediatrician changed forever. Our son
required significant medical care early in life, and suddenly I found myself on the other side of the
stethoscope. That experience gave me a much deeper understanding of the fear, uncertainty, and
resilience families can experience – and how much compassionate communication matters when you are
worried about your child.

Now, as the father of two, I continue to learn from my children every day. Parenting has made me a better
listener, advocate, and pediatrician. It has also reinforced something I believe strongly: parenting rarely
follows a textbook, and families often need a physician who will not only provide medical guidance, but
also listen, explain, and walk alongside them.

Outside the office, I enjoy spending time with Adriana and our kids, Gabe and Sofie, especially when we
get the chance to travel together. I also love golf and just about any sport. I’m a proud Florida State alum,
and having grown up in South Florida, I’m also a lifelong Miami Heat and Miami Dolphins fan.
