When people ask why I chose to work in pediatrics I always say “pediatrics chose me.” Working with children was a calling I never even knew I had until after nursing school when I found myself working with newborns on the postpartum floor and later moving to the NICU. I became passionate about learning as much as I could about infants, toddlers, children, and adolescents so I could provide the best care to my patients.

As a mother, I remember having so many questions, doubts, and worries that were never addressed with my children especially as a first time mom. Because of this, I make sure I take my time to provide education, reassurance, or even just a listening ear when you need it. Whether it’s having fun during routine well visits or
seeing your child when they are sick, I will always do my best to provide the best care and also make it fun! I am originally from North Carolina but have lived in many different states over the years due to my husband being active duty military. In my free time I enjoy reading, going to the beach, and spending time with my two
children and two dogs.

I am very excited to be joining the amazing team at Jacksonville Pediatrics and can not wait to meet everyone!
